For Brands

Why was my clip rejected?

Updated October 2, 2026

Your clip was rejected because it did not meet a campaign rule or a Clipster rule when it was reviewed. The exact reason is shown next to the post on your dashboard.

Where to find the reason

  • In Clipster (always up to date): go to My Activity → Submissions and open the rejected post. The reason is shown under the status (in the app: "Reasoning"). On desktop, you can also hover over the info icon next to Rejected.
  • Clipster Bot DM on Discord: The bot also sends you the reason.

Not getting the DM?

  • Check that your Discord is connected in Settings → Login Methods (in the app: Profile → Login methods).
  • Check that you are on the right Discord account.
  • Allow DMs from server members (User Settings → Privacy & Safety).
  • Look in your message requests.
  • Clipster always shows the reason on the submission, even if the DM did not arrive.

Rejection reasons

Campaign Requirements and relevance

ReasonWhat it means
Content does not match requirementsThe content is off-topic, in the wrong style or format, or is missing something the brief asks for.
Account Irrelevant to CampaignYour page does not match the campaign's niche. For example, only CS2 pages can join CS2 campaigns.
South Asia–focused contentThe content targets a South Asian audience when the campaign needs another region.
Non-English contentThe content itself was not in English.
Non-English caption / Spam CaptionThe caption was not in English, or was spam (for example, unrelated hashtags).
Caption requirements not metThe caption did not meet the campaign's caption rules; for example, a required tag or text was missing or removed.

Engagement

ReasonWhat it means
Below Campaign engagement thresholdThe engagement rate was too low. Older rejections may say "Below Clipster engagement threshold". See the thresholds in What rules does every clip need to follow?.
Inorganic EngagementThe views or engagement do not look organic.
Hidden EngagementLikes, comments, views, or other engagement statistics were hidden or restricted, preventing the submission from being reviewed properly.

Availability and account status

ReasonWhat it means
Video not availableThe video could not be played, was removed, failed to load, or was not public.
Profile Not AvailableYour profile was deleted, private, or could not be opened.
User suspendedYour account was suspended, so your open submissions were rejected.

Logo Requirements

ReasonWhat it means
Logo size issueThe logo is too small.
Logo placement issueThe logo is in the wrong place, cut off, covered, or rotated.
Logo Not LoopingThe logo did not stay visible or loop for the whole video.
Wrong Logo / Logo Usage Issue / Multiple LogosThe logo was missing, wrong, had changed colours, or more than one logo was used.

Content Integrity and Safety

ReasonWhat it means
Explicit / NSFW contentNudity, sexual content, graphic violence, or other adult content.
Spam PostThe same video was submitted several times, or many unrelated posts were submitted.
Duplicate SubmissionThis post or video was already submitted.
Not original contentThe submission was found to contain copied, stolen, reused, or otherwise unoriginal content.
OtherNone of the reasons above fit. The note on your dashboard explains more.

My post showed earnings, then got rejected

Earnings on your dashboard do not mean the post was approved. Approval is not shown separately. Most posts that show earnings have simply not been reviewed yet.
