What rules does every clip need to follow?
Updated October 2, 2026
Every clip must follow the campaign brief, be high quality, keep its stats public, and get its views and engagement organically. The campaign's own rules always come first. These rules apply to all campaigns on top of them.
✅ The short version: rules for every campaign
- Follow the campaign brief. Your page must fit the campaign's niche (for example, no movie-clip pages in sports campaigns).
- Make high-quality, original content, created for this campaign.
- Captions in English and related to your post and niche.
- Keep the post, your account, and all stats public.
- Meet the minimum engagement: 0.2% on all campaigns, up to 3% on music and higher-CPM campaigns.
- Only organic views. No bots, ads, engagement groups, or shoutouts.
- No content aimed at South Asian audiences, and no NSFW content. NSFW can lead to suspension.
- Keep paid posts up for 30 days after payout.
The campaign's own rules always come first. Details for each rule are below.
General rules
- Follow the brief. The content must clearly match the campaign's theme.
- High quality. Low-effort, spammy, or repetitive content is rejected.
- Public stats. Likes, comments, and views must stay public during review. Do not hide stats, turn off comments, or make the post private.
- English captions. Captions must be in English. No unrelated foreign-language captions or hashtag spam.
- Video with movement. A still image uploaded as a video is not accepted. Photo posts only work if the campaign allows them.
- Default thumbnail. Do not use custom or unrelated thumbnails. Use the one the platform provides.
- Tags from the start. If the campaign asks you to tag the brand, the tag must be there when the post is first published. Adding it later does not help.
- No explicit content. No nudity, sexual content, graphic violence, or other adult content.
- Caption requirements. Some campaigns ask for a tag, hashtag, or text in the caption. See below.
Caption requirements
If a campaign has caption requirements, your caption is checked when you submit. If it doesn't match, you see "The post caption does not meet this campaign's caption requirements. Update the caption and submit again."
The caption is checked again every time your views update. If you edit the caption later and remove what the campaign asks for, the post is rejected automatically with "Caption requirements not met". Keep required tags and text in the caption for the whole campaign.
Niche and audience
- Your page and your content must match the campaign's niche. For example, a gaming campaign needs a page that mainly posts gaming content.
- Campaigns target Tier 1 audiences (for example, US, UK, Canada, Australia).
- Content aimed mainly at a South Asian audience is rejected. Examples: cricket, Bollywood, Free Fire, PUBG Mobile, or content in Hindi, Urdu, Bengali, or Tamil.
- Content aimed mainly at an African audience may also be rejected, unless the campaign says otherwise.
- Your own location does not matter. What matters is who your content is for.
"English-only" campaigns
If a campaign says "English-only", everything must be in English: captions, titles, spoken language, on-screen text, comments, the page niche, and even the music. Avoid regional songs.
Engagement rate
Your post needs a minimum engagement rate, if not otherwise stated:
| Campaign type | Minimum engagement rate |
|---|---|
| Music campaigns | 3% |
| All other campaigns | 0.2% |
Higher-CPM campaigns can require up to 3%. Check Min Engagement Rate on the campaign page.
How it is calculated: (likes + comments + shares + saves) ÷ views × 100. Story views are not counted.
The rate is checked when your post is reviewed, using the latest data. If it is below the minimum at that time, the post is rejected, even if engagement goes up later. You can see your post's latest Engagement rate when you open it in My Activity → Submissions.
Organic views only
All views and engagement must be real and organic. These are not allowed:
- Viewbots, bought views, or fake engagement
- Paid ads for your post, even on real ad platforms
- Sharing your post in group chats, engagement groups, or any sharing scheme
- Asking friends, followers, or communities to watch or like your post
- Retweeting or quote-tweeting your own post on X
- Shoutouts or reposts from unrelated accounts
A post with inorganic engagement is rejected and earns nothing. A clear or repeated pattern leads to account suspension. See Why was my account suspended, and can I appeal?.
Original content and reuse
- Each submission should be original. Posting the same video from several of your accounts to the same campaign may be rejected.
- Submitting the same video many times, or many unrelated posts, counts as spam.
- A post can only be submitted to one campaign. You get "This post was already submitted to a campaign" if you try to add it to a second one.
- Content made by someone else is only OK if you have their permission to post it.
- Clipster has no policy against copyrighted clips such as movie scenes. But the platform may remove or restrict your post. A removed or restricted post cannot be reviewed.
- After a campaign, you may not reuse the same content for another campaign, even on another platform or with new branding.
