Why was my account suspended, and can I appeal?
Updated October 2, 2026
Your account is suspended when it breaks Clipster rules, for example through viewbotting or other inorganic engagement, explicit content, fraud or abuse. You can appeal a suspension once in the Clipster Discord, and the decision is final.
What gets an account suspended?
- Viewbotting or inorganic engagement. A single flagged post is rejected and earns nothing. A clear or repeated pattern leads to suspension. Suspension for viewbotting can be permanent.
- Explicit / NSFW content.
- Fraud or abuse of the platform.
- Strikes for removed posts. At 4 strikes within 60 days, your account may be suspended for 48 hours. See What happens if my post is deleted, removed or goes offline?.
For what counts as inorganic engagement, see What rules does every clip need to follow?.
Can one of my social accounts be suspended on its own?
Yes. A single linked social media account can be suspended while the rest of your Clipster account stays active.
- You can't submit from that account ("Social account is suspended").
- It can't be linked again, also not to another Clipster profile ("Account is suspended and cannot be linked").
- Your other linked accounts keep working.
If you think it's a mistake, open a support ticket with the account's link.
How do I find out why?
The reason is shown when you try to log in. The Clipster Bot also sends it to you as a Discord DM.
What happens while I am suspended?
- You cannot log in or withdraw while you are suspended.
- If the suspension is permanent, your open submissions in campaigns that are not yet paid out are rejected, and your balance is not paid out.
- Your social media accounts cannot be unlinked. This stops banned accounts from moving to a new profile.
- Creating a new Clipster account is not allowed. It counts as ban evasion.
- The end date of a temporary suspension is set by the system. Support cannot change it. Check the date shown when you log in.
How to appeal a suspension
- Go to the appeals channel in the Clipster Discord and choose Suspended Account. No access to Discord? Use the Contact Us form and choose "I need help with something".
- Enter your Clipster username, what happened, and why the suspension should be lifted.
- Your appeal is filed. The decision is posted in your appeal channel.
Before you file: when you open a suspension appeal, all your current Discord roles are removed and you get the Suspended role. Only open one if your account is really suspended. Misusing it can lead to further action.
You do not need screen recordings or analytics videos. The team checks your post data directly through your linked account.
Rules for suspension appeals
- Each suspension can be appealed once. The decision is final.
- If the posts that led to the suspension were deleted, the suspension stays.
- Claims that someone else added fake views without your knowledge are not accepted. You are responsible for the engagement on your content.
- No outcome or timeline can be promised before the review is done.
