Something isn't working. What can I try?
Updated October 2, 2026
Most problems are fixed by updating the app, restarting it, or trying the website in another browser. Below are quick fixes for the most common problems with logging in, the app, submitting, linking accounts and Discord.
I can't log in
Clipster has no passwords. You log in with a code sent to your email, or with Google, Apple or Discord.
- Enter your email and tap Get Code.
- Enter the Verification Code from the email.
- No email? Wait a minute and check your spam and junk folders. When the timer ("Resend in…") runs out, tap Send code again.
- If you usually log in with Google, Apple or Discord, use the same method again.
If you see a suspension message, see Why was my account suspended, and can I appeal?.
The app is slow, stuck or crashing
If you see "This is taking longer than usual":
- Check your internet connection, then tap Try again.
- Check for app updates in the App Store or Play Store.
- Force close and reopen the app.
- Reinstall the app. You won't lose your account or clips. Just reinstall and log back in.
"Update required" means your version is no longer supported. Tap Update now to keep using the app.
You can always use the website on app.clipster.gg while the app is not working.
The website isn't loading
- Hard refresh the page (Ctrl+F5, or Cmd+Shift+R on Mac).
- Clear your browser cache and cookies for clipster.gg, or try a private window.
- Turn off browser extensions for a moment.
- Try another browser. Chrome, Edge and Safari work best.
"Too many requests"
You made a lot of requests in a short time. Wait a moment and try again.
I can't submit a post
- "Submissions are closed for this campaign." The campaign is not taking new posts.
- "Accounts Eligibility" screen: one of your accounts can't submit yet. Use the button shown (Link Account, Verify or Reconnect).
- Link not accepted: use the direct post link, not your profile. Remove tracking parameters. Make sure the post and account are public.
- Post not found: very new posts may need 5–10 minutes.
- Other messages are explained in Why was my clip rejected?.
I can't link an account
- You can link TikTok, Instagram and YouTube directly. New X accounts can't be linked at the moment.
- Allow pop-ups and cookies in your browser, then try again.
- Make sure you sign in to the right social media account, and that it is public.
- Error code 422: try linking on the website instead of the app.
- "Account already linked" or anything else: see How do I set up my account and link my socials?.
My views aren't updating
- Views update every few hours, and only while the campaign is running.
- "Couldn't refresh this post yet" is temporary. Clipster tries again automatically.
- "Post unavailable" means the post may be deleted, private or restricted. See What happens if my post is deleted, removed or goes offline?.
- For why eligible views can be lower than your real views, see How do I submit a clip, and what counts as a valid post?.
My withdrawal failed
If you see "An error occurred during the transfer initialization. Please contact support.", open a support ticket. If a withdrawal fails, the amount goes back to your balance. See How do I withdraw my earnings, and what are the fees?.
Discord commands or bot DMs don't work
- Use commands in the right server and channel. The format is
/submit <campaign_name>. - Check you have the right server roles, then try again after a few minutes.
- Not getting DMs from the Clipster Bot? Allow DMs from server members (User Settings → Privacy & Safety), check your message requests, and make sure the bot is not blocked.
- Your Discord must be connected in Login Methods. See How do I set up my account and link my socials?.
Still not working?
Open a support ticket in the Technical category. Add:
- a screenshot or screen recording of the problem
- whether it happens on the website or in the app, and on which device
- what you already tried
