How do I submit a clip, and what counts as a valid post?

Updated October 2, 2026

Post your video on a linked, public account, then submit the direct post link to the campaign within 24 hours of publishing it. Only views your post gets after you submit it count towards your earnings.

How to submit

On the website or in the app:

  1. Go to Discover.
  2. Open the campaign and click Submit Content.
  3. Paste your post link in Submission link and send it.

Ineligible: means the account, submission, or request does not meet the requirements or criteria needed to be submitted. The reasons are mentioned on the submission itself.

If one of your accounts can't submit, you'll see "Account Eligibility" with a button to fix it (Link Account, Verify, or Reconnect).

On Discord: use /submit <campaign_name> in the campaign's Discord server.

What counts as a valid post

  • Posted from a social media account linked to your Clipster profile.
  • On a platform the campaign allows.
  • Submitted within 24 hours of being published. Older posts get "Submission is too old for campaign". This cannot be bypassed unless a Clipster technical issue stopped you from submitting in time.
  • Published after the campaign started. Posts from before the campaign launch are not accepted.
  • The post and your account are public, with stats visible.
  • Not submitted to any campaign before. A post can only be in one campaign.
  • Follows the campaign brief and What rules does every clip need to follow?.

Supported Link formats

Submit the direct link to the individual post or video, not a profile, channel, search result, or campaign page.

Remove optional tracking parameters such as utm_source, igsh, stkn, _r, and _t. Do not remove parameters required to identify the content, such as YouTube’s v= value.

Submission limits

  • Per campaign: you can submit up to 200 posts per campaign, counting all your linked accounts together. Rejected posts count towards this limit. Many campaigns also show Max Submissions per Social Account and Max Submissions per day per Social Account. Some rank perks raise the limits. See What are ranks, and what perks do I get?.
  • Per day: There is also a limit on how many posts you can submit in 24 hours, across all your linked accounts. If you hit it, you see "You've already submitted the maximum number of posts for campaign in 24 hours. Try again later." This is a standard anti-abuse limit, not a penalty. Limits are more generous for accounts with a clean track record. You cannot see your remaining quota.

Eligible views

Only views your post gains after you submit it count. The Diamond rank perk "total views count" changes this. See What are ranks, and what perks do I get?. Example: your post had 22,000 views when you submitted it and later reached 82,000. Your eligible views are 60,000.

That is why a post with many views can show 0 eligible views. Either the views came before you submitted, or the post has not been refreshed yet.

When views update

  • About every 2 hours for the first 8 hours after you submit.
  • After that, usually every 1–7 hours. Fast-growing posts update more often.
  • Open the submission in My Activity → Submissions. Where available, "Next refresh in" shows when it updates next.
  • Views stop updating when the campaign ends.
  • Age-restricted, geo-restricted, or private posts may not update.

What happens after you submit

Your dashboard shows one of these statuses:

  • Processing: basic requirements are being checked, such as platform, views, and engagement.
  • Insufficient Views For Earnings: ("Submission currently doesn't have enough views to generate earnings"). It moves on once it reaches the campaign's Min Views for Earnings.
  • Eligible: The post meets the basic requirements and is being monitored for compliance and quality. Final eligibility is confirmed after the campaign ends.
  • Rejected: The post did not pass review. The reason is shown on the submission.
  • Paid Out: Earnings are final and credited to your Clipster wallet.

Approval is not shown separately. Earnings on your dashboard do not mean your post is approved yet. If a post is rejected, you see the reason on the dashboard and in a Clipster Bot DM. See Why was my clip rejected?.

How long review takes

Campaign typeTypical review time
Standard3–7 days
High-volume7–14 days
Music5–10 days

It can take longer at busy times.

While your post is under review

Can I delete a submission?

Yes, but only while it is Eligible. Open it in My Activity → Submissions and choose Delete submission.

  • You can't submit that post to the campaign again afterwards.
  • Deleted submissions don't count towards your submission limit.
  • Deleting the submission does not delete the post on the platform.

Processing, Ineligible, Rejected, and Paid Out submissions can't be deleted.

Can I resubmit a post?

No. A rejected post cannot be submitted again. A post you removed from a campaign cannot be submitted to that campaign again. The same post cannot be submitted twice, or to a second campaign.

What if my post goes viral after I submit?

That's great, and it doesn't hurt your submission. Review checks whether the post follows the rules, not how popular it is. Views still count up to the campaign's Cap per Post.

Common errors

  • Link not accepted: use the direct post link, remove tracking parameters, check the post is public.
  • "This post was already submitted to a campaign": The post is already in a campaign. Check your submissions.
  • Post not found / stats not loading: Make sure the post and account are public. Very new posts may need 5–10 minutes.
  • "An error occurred": On the web, clear cache and cookies or try a private window. On mobile, close and reopen the app or update it. You can also submit on the website.

For errors about the campaign itself (ended, no budget, wrong sound), see Why was my clip rejected?.
