For Brands

How do campaigns work?

Updated October 2, 2026

A campaign is a paid brief from a brand. You post content that follows the brief, submit the post link, and earn money for the views your post gets while the campaign is active.

Finding campaigns

Active campaigns are listed in Discover. Campaigns you joined are in My Activity → Campaigns. New campaigns are also announced in the Clipster Discord. Clipster does not set dates for upcoming campaigns and cannot guarantee new ones.

Campaign types

The campaign type is shown in the campaign. The niche is often shown in brackets in the name, for example [GAMING] or [CS2].

What each campaign sets

Always read the campaign page before you post. Each campaign shows its own:

  • Content Requirements (the brief: what is allowed and what is not)
  • Platforms (TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, X)
  • Rate, shown per 1M views ("/ 1M") or per post ("/ post"). Some campaigns pay both, and rates can differ per platform ("By Platform").
  • Cap per Post and Cap per Profile (the most one post, or one creator, can earn). See When do I get paid?.
  • Min Views for Earnings (views a post needs before it earns)
  • Min Engagement Rate
  • Min Duration of the video
  • Max Submissions per Social Account and Max Submissions per day per Social Account
  • Min Followers per Social Profile
  • Any other requirements, such as audience or a required sound

If the campaign details say something different from this help centre, the campaign details win. Also check the campaign's Discord channel for updates and assets such as logos and content folders.

How a campaign ends

  • A campaign ends when its budget is used up, or when Clipster or the brand ends it. Most campaigns run for up to about one month.
  • You cannot see an end date in advance, and you do not get a notification when it ends. Watch the Discord announcements.
  • In My Activity, an ended campaign shows Pending while payout is processing, then Paid Out.
  • Once a campaign ends, you cannot submit new posts and views stop updating.
  • If a campaign ends before its budget is used, you still get paid for your approved posts. See When do I get paid?.

Why the budget percentage goes up and down

When submissions are rejected, their budget goes back into the campaign. The percentage goes down. When posts gain views, the percentage goes up. This is normal.

Relaunches and rule changes

  • A campaign can relaunch after it ended, for example when many submissions were rejected and budget became free again.
  • You can submit again after a relaunch. Your submission limit does not reset.
  • Views on existing submissions keep updating until the budget is full again.
  • If the rules change during a campaign, posts submitted before the change are reviewed under the old rules.
  • A campaign that changed shows a label such as CPM increased, CPM updated or Requirements updated, with when it happened. When you see one, read the campaign page again before your next post.
  • After a relaunch, payouts for older submissions may wait until the relaunched campaign ends and is reviewed.

Leaderboard and saved campaigns

  • Leaderboard: open a campaign in My Activity → Campaigns and choose Leaderboard to see the top earners. The earnings shown there can sometimes be inaccurate. Your own submissions and My Balance show your real earnings.
  • Save for later: tap Save to My Activity on a campaign to find it again quickly.
  • Want to hear about new campaigns first? See How do I get notified about new campaigns?.

Campaigns you have to apply for

Some campaigns show Apply to join instead of Submit Content. You can only submit after your application is approved. Until then you see "This campaign requires an approved application before you can submit."

  1. Open the campaign and click Apply to join.
  2. The button changes to Applied while your application is reviewed.
  3. Once you are approved, you can submit as usual.

To apply, at least one of your linked accounts must:

  • be on a platform the campaign accepts ("None of your linked accounts is on a platform this campaign accepts.")
  • have the campaign's minimum followers ("None of your linked accounts meets this campaign's minimum followers.")
  • meet the campaign's audience requirements ("None of your linked accounts meets this campaign's audience requirements.")

If you have no linked account yet, you see "Link a social account to apply". You can't apply once a campaign has ended or spent its budget.

Discord-only campaigns

Some campaigns run only in a dedicated Discord server, not in the main Clipster server. For these campaigns, submitting on the Clipster website and app is turned off. If you try, you see "The campaign is exclusive to discord".

To take part, join the campaign's own Discord server (use the Campaign Discord link on the campaign page) and submit there with /submit <campaign_name>.

Your Discord must be connected to your Clipster account. See How do I set up my account and link my socials?.

Private and onboarding-only campaigns

Clipster Private

Clipster Private is a separate Discord server with campaigns that are not in the public server. Apply here: discord.gg/CMatb36tA. Applications are reviewed twice a week. Answer all questions and add your page links. Pages with a mostly Tier 1 audience (for example US, UK, Canada, Australia) are prioritised. If you are not accepted, you can apply again once your audience has changed.

"Your account niche does not meet the requirements"

Clipster places each account in a niche, such as "Gaming creator". This is not shown publicly. If you get this error and think it is wrong, open a support ticket with a screenshot of the error and your page link.

No pre-approval

Support cannot pre-approve a post. Read the campaign rules before you post. See What rules does every clip need to follow?.
